Jessica Stahl, MHC Intern

Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, and I am dedicated to creating a warm, collaborative space where you feel truly seen. I believe that true healing involves looking at the whole person. Our emotional well-being is deeply tied to our relationships, our inner thoughts, and our physical bodies, and we will work as a team at a pace that feels entirely safe for you.

My therapeutic framework bridges mind and body to foster internal harmony. I appreciate the Internal Family Systems approach (IFS) for gently exploring the different “parts” of your inner world—such as an inner critic or an anxious voice—to help build self-compassion. Because a “words first” approach does not work for everyone, I integrate this parts-work with Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT). Going beyond basic mindfulness, DMT acts as a pathway to access deep emotional insights, regulate a stressed nervous system, and safely release tension trapped in the body, helping you feel securely anchored and restore a sense of internal wholeness.

Our external environments also shape how we move through life. Drawing from Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), I pay close attention to how your relationships and social surroundings impact your well-being, helping you examine patterns of isolation and build healthier connections. My approach is deeply guided by my training at Lesley University, which emphasizes multicultural humility and unconditional positive regard. By treating the bodymind as an integrated whole, I provide a compassionate, trauma-informed space to help you find grounding and lasting internal balance.
