Nathan Maroney, ACC, RBT

I bring a person centered approach, meaning I believe you are naturally inclined to seek out your own potential.   I shall act as a mirror to help you problem solve, allowing you to do what you do best at a much higher capacity.  If you desire something more directive, I offer a wealth of exercises and homework you can do inside and outside
of the session.

My background in behaviorism means that I see psychological problems through the framework of systems. Family systems, institutional systems, even the system of small individual one to one relationships. My expertise also includes habit building and habit extinguishing, allowing me to help you improve the little things that affect you on
the day to day.

I have worked primarily with children with various learning
disabilities, including autism, ADHD, conduct disorder, childhood trauma, victims of bullying, social isolation and relationship issues. I have experience working with parents, helping with the difficult task of raising a child and the complicated issues that come with a child who does not fit within the expectations of our culture.

Getting to the therapy is the hardest part.  Continuing to go is somehow even harder.  You will always have my respect for taking those steps.
