Mark Briggs, RAAC

My primary focus is to assist you in separating the hurtful things that have happened to you from who you are. I provide a culturally sensitive, trauma informed, LGBTQIA+ friendly approach, to ensure you feel truly heard and understood, regardless of identity. I strive to hold a space that feels genuinely warm and welcoming for all.

My work comes from a narrative therapy orientation, incorporating personal stories, humor, and compassion to assist clients in processing challenges including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and self-esteem. I have been a counselor for four years, working
with all walks of people in inpatient hospital as well as outpatient clinic settings.

In my free time, I like to paint miniatures, play video games, and go kayaking with my partner and dog. I am ecstatic to work with you and hope our therapeutic relationship will lead to sustainable healing and insight.
