Gustavo Flores

Helping teens and adults on their life journey.

Gustavo Flores, LMHCA

Gus's clinical work focuses on stress management, depression, anxiety, and personal trauma through the evidence-based lenses of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Gus is a retired serviceman who served 20 years in the US Navy. He has been around the world and experienced the stresses of military service. He is no stranger to the hardships, personal sacrifice, and costs of being away for months at a time. He believes that the symptoms we feel
are our body’s way of talking to us. Depression and anxiety are consequences of our unique experiences. His goal is to help make sense of how we got to where we are, working to develop an understanding of ourselves so that we can lay our burdens down and make real change and
recovery possible.

Gus’s favorite pastime is playing music. Whether he’s strumming one of his guitars, learning a new song, or singing along to an old favorite, music is where he feels most at home. Beyond his musical side, Gus is also incredibly handy. He enjoys fixing things, tackling projects, and figuring out how to make something work better. He has a natural abilty to find solutions to problems and always willing to help others; he’s the kind of person people can count on when something needs to get done.

If you are feeling overwhelmed and wish there were someone you could talk to who would listen… come talk to Gus. His door is open.
