Amy Groat, AAC

I am deeply committed to creating an open, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I believe in each person’s capacity for growth and resilience, and that healing is possible within the context of a trusting relationship. I strive to meet each client with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their lived experience.

My approach to therapy is holistic and growth-oriented, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, emotions, relationships, and the environment. My aim is to help clients develop deeper understanding and self-acceptance as experts of their own lives.

As a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am drawn to modalities that focus on building on my client’s strengths and values, balancing self-awareness with compassion for our past, present and future selves.

Through reflection and non-judgmental support, I collaborate with clients to explore not only their challenges but also their strengths, values and inner resources. Together, we will work toward greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and meaningful change that aligns with each client’s goals and sense of purpose.
